The HK Recreation Department will be following the guidelines and protocols issued by the CDC as well as the OEC in order to provide a safe summer camp experience.

  1. Staff and Kids will be screened upon entering (not allowed to attend or work if over 100 degrees). We will not be doing temperature checks anymore as the OEC has stated that this is not necessary as of 6/22.  However we will still make sure campers and staff do not have any symptoms.

  3. Drop-off and pick-up will be at designated outside entrances per camp.
  4. Group sizes will be no more than 14 kids and each group will be in separate areas within each camp. Kids will be put in the same group each week. We will do our best to group together kids by grades/genders. There will be no mixing of groups.
  5. There will be a max. of 30 total campers allowed to enroll at each camp each week. Register early as space will be limited.
  6. Counselors and staff will wear masks. If possible we will keep the same staff per group.

  8. Good hygiene will be reinforced to staff and children with regular hand washing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds throughout the day.
